Mangalore, November 10: An automatic cradle has been invented by Sumana, a second year electronic mechanic student in SKFIT, Bannadka, Moodubidre. She is a daughter of Alangaru Vishwamoorthy and Shantha. It is a special cradle which rocks automatically when the kid cries. Sumana invented this by taking consideration of the inconveniency of working women.

When child whimpers, that sound will be passed to the microphone control box. Immediately cradle starts to swing. Once the child stops crying cradle also stops.

It has a sensor which receives the signal through which one can clap and make the cradle moving. Even it can be controlled by a remote control device. Cradle song can be attached. This cradle can be manufactured with the approximate cost of Rs. 5000 to 6000.
Suman remembers the cooperation of P S Alva, ITC principal and training officer Shashikanth in inventing this special cradle
